Score: 91 points. Barolo Tebavio is a thick, well extracted expression of Nebbiolo with red fruit tones, plum, sweet vanilla and ground coffee. The wine feels yielding but dense with a plush texture and a soft, silky feel. Like many wines from the 2007 vintage, it requires less aging (five years or so) to reach its optimal drinking window.- M.L.
Score: 90 points. Barolo Tebavio delivers a wild, untamed nature with aromas of wet earth, blue flower, underbrush, white mushroom and wild berries. Those aromas are a bit muddled at first but unwind with time in the glass to reveal a solid, firm whole. In the mouth, it is streamlined and tight- M.L.
